NEWS LOSP: MINING FEVER IN A PERIHPERIC SYSTEM

A collective of independent galactic reporters issued a statement earlier today to call on the leadership of the L.O.S.P.

This is due to the significant increase in space traffic in the Col 285 Sector AR-L c8-14 system.

According to their own surveys and the cross-checking of many public data, no less than eighty large carrier vessels, Type-9 or Type-10, were identified in the inner ring belt of the main gas giant of the system, to carry out extra-territorial mining operations. The collective points out that on several occasions, mass extraction operations have been carried out by League pilots.

Shortly after the publication of this statement, the Association for the Defence of the Rights of Future Colonies expressed its concern about behaviour described as "predatory". Philip Jones, president of the association, said: "This is a clear spoliation of potential resources needed for the development of future human colonies in the system. Let the L.O.S.P. pilots go home and mine ! »

That same evening, the spokesman for the Palladium union, the League's commercial department, refuted these allegations: "The League of the Stellars Pilots", like any political entity of respectable size and behaviour, extracts resources inside and outside its area of influence. We would like to renew our unwavering support for our pilots who, far from plundering an uninhabited system, contribute to the good economic health of our region by the rational development of an unexploited deposit."

As soon as this strategy was announced, galactic prices of the main metals fell by 2 points, anticipating the influx of minerals in the near future - the reputation of the League's pilots for efficiency no longer being a matter of debate.
